THE CHAMPION TEAM

Carlos M.Hernandez

As President of Champion Painting Specialty Services Corp, Carlos Hernandez is passionate about ensuring his team is the most well-trained in the industry and they possess the tools and authority to be successful in their respective positions within the organization. A Cuban immigrant who has lived in the US since he was five, he was involved in construction with his father from a very young age. Immediately following high school, Carlos joined the Marine Corps and after his enlistment had a highly decorated law enforcement career in South Florida. Still having a passion for construction, Carlos founded PSI Specialty Coatings and later purchased Champion Painting Specialty services Corp. in 2012. Since his involvement, the company has experienced tremendous growth and success and Carlos attributes this to his team, who are the driving force for the organization. Carlos leads our Senior Executive Team for the development and performance improvement program of Vice Presidents and Operations Managers throughout the organization.  Carlos serves a key role in business development and networking of relationships and supports sales, estimating, project management, staffing, and partnerships. Carlos holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Administration from Barry University, SSPC Protective Coatings Inspector (PCI) Level 2 Certification, SSPC Quality Control Supervisor (QCS) Certification, and Florida Department of Transportation Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification.

Kyle Hough

Kyle Hough is Champions Executive Vice President and has over 20 years of experience in the Industrials Coatings Industry  to include terminals, power, pharmaceutical, chemical/petro chemical, water and waste water, food and beverage, theme parks, pulp and paper, commercial construction, road and bridge, cranes, cruise ships, universities, stadiums, military, and more. Kyle Hough is an industry veteran who completed his apprenticeship through DC 21 and has worked his way up through the ranks to his current position as Executive Vice President of Champion Painting Specialty Services. Kyle is an SSPC-certified Level 3 Protective Coatings Inspector (PCI), a C 3 Supervisor/Competent Person, a Protective Coating Specialist (PCS), and a Master Coatings Inspector (MCI). Kyle has a passion for the industry and it shows though his work and reputation. He is a proven leader who excels in business and customer development with a track record of success and is a key member of our Senior Executive Leadership team for the development and performance management of Vice Presidents and Operations Managers, and business development and networking of relationships that support sales, staffing and partnerships.

Douglas A. Page

Douglas A. Page is the Senior Vice President of Champion Painting Specialty Services Corp. and leads Champion Specialty Services division. Mr. Page is a construction executive with over 38 years of experience at all levels of management for construction, maintenance, modifications, demolition and plant upgrades serving the power industry — Hydro, Fossil and Nuclear, with an emphasis on Nuclear. Extensive experience in Petro-Chemical and Pulp and Paper facilities. He has developed a deep expertise in management of P & L with an emphasis on long-term revenue growth; oversight of operations including safety, quality, human performance, site oversight, problem-solving and client Interface. He is part of our Senior Executive Leadership team for the development and performance management of Vice Presidents and Operations Managers, and business development and networking of relationships that support sales, staffing and partnerships. He holds a BS from Western Michigan University and is a member of NACE, NACE Nuclear, SSPC, ANI, and NEI.

Duane Hough

Duane Hough is a Construction Professional with over 18 years experience in industrial coatings and serves as the  Vice President of Operations at Champion Painting Specialty Services Corp. in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He is a proven leader that provides direction for all aspects of construction throughout an organization, including project management, scheduling, estimating, negotiations, budget development, strategic planning, and project closeout. He has been instrumental in the development and monitoring of Champion’s  QP 1,QP 2, and QS 1 Quality Programs and oversees Quality Assurance/ Quality Control. He is an accomplished instructor who believes that training is a core requirement for success. He is an SSPC-certified Level 3 Protective Coatings Inspector (PCI), a Level 2 Bridge Coating Inspector (BCI), a Level 2 Concrete Coating Inspector (CCI), a C 3 Supervisor/Competent Person, a Protective Coating Specialist (PCS) and a Master Coatings Inspector (MCI). He is also a combat-decorated veteran of the U.S. Marines

Charles Jeffrey “Jeff” Gibbons

Jeff Gibbons is  Vice President of Business Development at Champion Painting Specialty Services Corp. and mainly operates with the Champion Specialty Services division. Mr. Gibbons is a construction executive with over 25 years of experience at all levels of management for construction, maintenance, modifications, demolition and plant upgrades serving the power industry — Hydro, Fossil and Nuclear, with an emphasis on Nuclear. He is involved with the direct management for the strategic planning, presenting and execution related to sales, marketing, proposal writing, estimating and contract negotiations of prospective multi-faceted project work for the Industrial Business Market encompassing the Conventional Power, Nuclear Power, Pulp & Paper, Chemical, Food & Beverage, Department of Defense and Department of Energy Industries. Job duties include the additional accountability for helping maintain & strengthen client relationships and develop new business opportunities for our entire organization. He holds a BS from Florida State University and is a member of NRCA, SSPC, NACE and NACE Nuclear.

Anthony Maracic

Anthony Maracic is the Vice President of Champion Painting Specialty Services Corp.’s Northeast Operations. Beginning his career as a young apprentice and moving through the ranks, Anthony has amassed 35 years of experience in the steel and painting industry. During this time, Anthony has been nationally recognized for being awarded some of New York’s largest painting contracts as well as for working with some of the State’s most massive steel structures, both in size and area. Anthony  is responsible for leading teams in major projects that include the Queensboro Bridge, the George Washington Bridge, Williamsburg and Manhattan Bridge Towers, Citifield, the ceiling of Madison Square Garden and the 1,776 ft. Antenna of Manhattan’s Freedom Tower. Anthony is a committed member of both the SSPC and NACE and is proud to be a founding committee chair member of FOPAshleysCure, a nonprofit organization that supports research for Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP); a rare disorder his young niece, Ashley, was diagnosed with in 2015.
